Frequently Asked Questions
Are your saunas private or shared with others?
Private. We have three private infrared saunas. Each sauna can seat up to three people. You can choose to add a friend, or two, when you book online.
What is the dress code?
Standard swimming attire or activewear must be worn at all times. Please always sit on your own towel and never sit on the benches without one. Towel hire is available when booking online.
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
Put simply, infrared light energy, when concentrated on your body, triggers a biological response that breaks you out in a deep sweat, even though the air temperature remains relatively comfortable at 65-70 degrees centigrade. This is why they are very popular, even with people who do not usually like traditional hot saunas.
What are the risks?
If you suffer from any acute conditions, are on medications or have any medical-related conditions, please always consult your medical professional before undertaking any new wellness routine. Please help us keep the facility safe by keeping all floors dry to prevent slips and falls.
Do you have parking?
Yes. There is free, covered, 2-hour parking on the Eastern side of the Clyde Quay Wharf, where we are situated.
How cold is the cold plunge, and can I jump into the sea?
Our cold plunge is set at 5 degrees except for Tuesdays and Thursdays, where it's set at 10 degrees. You are welcome to safely jump into the sea on the eastern side of the wharf as a free alternative to a cold plunge.
